About YogaMitra

YogaMitra means "yoga friend". It is a free website that helps you practise yoga safely at home, in your own language. A 3D figure shows every pose from any angle while a calm voice tells you what to do and when to breathe. There is nothing to install and no account to create.

Why we built it

Most people who want to start yoga face the same problems: videos move too fast, pictures show only one angle, instructions are in a language that is not their first one, and it is hard to know which poses are safe for a bad back, high blood pressure or pregnancy. YogaMitra solves these one by one. You can turn the 3D guide to see exactly where a foot or hand goes, slow the session down, and hear the steps in Hindi, Tamil, Spanish, Arabic, Japanese or 22 other languages.

What you get

How we write our health content

Yoga can support health, but it is not a cure. Our condition pages rate the evidence (strong, moderate, emerging or traditional) and link to published studies such as meta-analyses of randomised trials. We use conservative safety advice: inversions, breath-holding and fast breathing are marked as unsuitable for high blood pressure, heart disease, pregnancy and epilepsy. Please read our medical disclaimer and talk to your doctor before starting a new exercise routine.

Privacy by design

Your practice history stays in your own browser. We do not ask for your name, email or health details, and the site works without cookies for tracking. See the privacy policy.
